Mitch M. Murch, CBSE, Chairman of the Board 

Mitch is one of the original founders of 4M and the fifth President of the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), has served or chaired most of the Association committees and has been awarded the Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE) Emeritus designation through the BSCAI as well as many other professional accolades.  He has recently finished serving his second term as President of WFBSC, a position that recognizes his leadership, knowledge and expertise in the contract cleaning industry.  Mitch has been directly involved in the cleaning industry since 1953 and is considered an industry pioneer. 

Tim M. Murch, CBSE, President

Tim has been involved in the facilities support industry for 28 years, joining 4M only two years after its inception, and has worked in all departments.  Tim moved into the presidency of 4M in 1991 and has grown the company from $12 million in sales in a one state operation to its current revenue of over $60 million in regional markets with rapidly expanding growth under his forward-thinking, strategic direction.  Tim holds a degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia .

Industry Association Involvement and Accolades

· Two, three-year terms on the Board of Directors of BSCAI and continues to serve on several committees, many of them as the chairman; BSCAI Speaker  and Award Recipient for his many contributions

· Active member of BOMA and has served on the local Board of Directors and Strategic Long Range Planning Committee; Active member of IFMA, Regional Commerce and Growth Association, Downtown Partnership

· Participates in the World Federation of Building Service Contractors (WFBSC), as well as many other civic and charitable organizations

Steven R. Allen, RBSM, Senior Vice President, Major Projects Division 

Steve was the first team member of 4M and is now a principal of the company.  He has thirty years of experience in facilities services and is recognized as one of the most innovative operational executives in the industry.  Steve's experience and management capabilities have led to the development of operational concepts now being used throughout the country, and our proprietary QualityPath™ Programs, a key differentiator for 4M and a large factor in our success.  Steve has been very active in programs conducted by the BSCAI and has been awarded the RBSM designation by BSCAI.

Steve Crain, CBSE, Chief Operating Officer 

Steve joined 4M in 1987 and has been a key contributor to 4M’s growth through previous roles in Sales and Marketing.  In his current role, Steve manages all operational aspects of the $60 million business through development of innovative solutions and ensuring corporate goals achievement.  He has been instrumental in the support and implementation of standardized methodology across quality, training and human resources departments including 4M’s Quality Improvement Plan.  Steve serves on both the Executive Leadership Team and Strategic Planning Committee and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.  He is an active member of IFMA, ISSA, and BSCAI.

Joseph M. Strout, Chief Financial Officer

Joe joined 4M in May of 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and serves on both the Executive Leadership Team and Strategic Planning Committee.  He brings over 25 years experience in finance and accounting from companies including Ralston Purina, Kimberly-Clark, The Solae Company, Data Point and Lone Star Technologies.  Joe’s primary role at 4M is to position the business’ internal finance, payroll and information technology departments ensuring efficiency and use of superlative technology as well as supporting 4M’s overall business through its continued growth.  Joe received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami .

Tom Covilli, CIH, Vice President of Risk Management

Tom's expertise and experience in safety risk management and environmental affairs management spans back to 1981.  Tom is responsible for safety policy and procedure development and implementation, development and delivery of safety training programs, conducting hazard and risk assessments for new and existing accounts, claims management for workers compensation and general liability, and he leads the corporate safety committee team.  In addition to safety and risk management responsibilities, Tom is a member of the 4M Executive Leadership Team where the importance of safety can be emphasized and endorsed by the executive management of the company.  He will also participate on Customer Partnering Reviews (CPRs) where his expertise in safety will offer another source of value for 4M clients.

Tom brings depth and experience to these areas having directed the corporate health and safety program as well as regional programs for a large industrial services contractor for 11 years prior to joining 4M.  He has extensive experience in developing loss prevention programs and has spent much of his career training team members with varied backgrounds and disciplines in OSHA compliance.  Most of his career has been spent working with clients to improve their safety performance.  Tom is a member of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) and American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and has been a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) since 1987.

Tim Moore, RBSM, Division Vice President

Tim has been dedicated to 4M’s success for over 25 years having held several management positions within the company.  In his current role, he provides strategic operational direction to his team ensuring optimal service performance and customer satisfaction to a portfolio of clients with over 35 million square feet of facility space.  Tim is an active member of both ISSA and BSCAI. 

Dan Cline, CBSE, Division Vice President 

Dan has over 20 years experience in the facilities service industry and initially joined the 4M team in 2001 as a Branch Manager.  His excellent leadership qualities earned him the promotion to Division Vice President overseeing 4M operations in the Central United States with a portfolio of over 20 million square feet.  Dan has a proven track record of success within his areas of responsibility and is experienced in all areas of the cleaning industry including office, industrial, educational, medical and corporate services operations.  He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and on the 4M Strategic Planning Committee. Dan’s Division earned the Albert E. Willson Division of the Year award in 2007 along with being recognized as the “Safest” Division in the Company for 2008. He is an active member of BOMA, IFMA, and BSCAI. Dan attended the University of Nebraska .            

Chip Wilkening, CBSE, Division Vice President

Chip has over 16 years of operations and management experience in the facilities service industry.  After serving nine years in the Marine Corps where he attended four technical and security schools, he started his own successful janitorial company. He eventually joined one of the Southeast’s largest facility service providers and was responsible for growing their business substantially. Chip joined 4M in 2003 as Division Vice President for the Southeast Division. Chip is on the 4M Executive Leadership team and leads a management team in his Division that services a 14+ million square foot portfolio of business spanning many disciplines – aerospace, aircraft, industrial, pharmaceutical, and corporate facilities. Chip’s strong work ethic and dedication earned him the Mitch Murch 110% Award in 2007. Chip is active in both IFMA and BSCAI and is IICRC certified. Prior to joining the Marine Corps Chip attended Ohio State University .

Karina Villasenor, Director of Human Resources

Karina has been an integral part of standardizing our corporate-wide recruiting process, including all pre-employment screening.  She oversees daily HR operations, ensuring all practices related to recruitment, benefits and labor relations are upheld to the highest standard.  Karina participates throughout the country in hiring staff for new accounts and is well-versed in operations and finance, having previous experience in both areas.  She attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.

 

               Operations Support Team                 

Bill Crouch, CBSE, Vice President of Compliance and Training.

Bill joined 4M in 2006 to spearhead 4M’s Operations Support Team (OST).  Bill and his team are responsible for the implementation of the QualityPath program at all accounts, corporate and field training, transition of new account starts, and account engineering process improvements.  He has also driven and developed processes and procedures required for 4M to attain its Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and will direct this program corporate-wide for ongoing compliance.

Bill has over 12 years experience in the account start-up/transition aspect of our industry having successfully done this for Fortune 500 companies across the country.  Additionally, he has been instrumental in the design and implementation of our unique training modules for job routing, task assignment and periodic task completion.

Bill earned his Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE) and Institute of Inspection , Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) designations as well as Lean Manager Certification for Administration and Service Professionals (LMAC-S) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science from the University of Kentucky.

 

Sales/Marketing Team  

Janice Deer, Vice President of Business Development 

Janice has over twenty-five years experience in the facility services industry. She joined 4M in 2005 and brings innovation and creativity to the sales and marketing efforts of 4M. Janice plays an instrumental part in the growth of the organization. She began her career by spending twelve years at NASA and six years with Continental Airlines where she was a member of the mergers and acquisition team. In 1983, she opened her own cleaning company, Janitorial Specialty Maintenance and made Continental her first customer. In 1993, she sold her company to Texas ’ largest maintenance contractor where she remained with them as Vice President of National Business Development until joining 4M. Janice’s in-depth knowledge of the facilities service industry and her tremendous energy and enthusiasm for the industry makes her a valuable member of the 4M team. Janice attended East Texas Baptist University and the University of Houston .

Chris Wieman, CBSE, Vice President of Business Development

Chris began his career in the cleaning industry in 1988 immediately upon graduating from Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications. He spent his first thirteen years working in the industry both selling for and operating his family’s company—Total Building Services (TBS). In 2001, 4M acquired TBS, and Chris joined the 4M team as a Director of Sales focusing his industry expertise solely on sales and customer service. Chris’s current sales territory includes Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa.

Tom Tasseff, Director of Business Development 

Throughout Tom’s 20 year career, his main goal has been to accelerate business results by providing the most innovative solutions to customers and prospects. Tom has achieved this goal for both privately held firms and large corporations, such as 3M. Tom’s expertise lies in the Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Commercial Building market segments. He uses his former experience serving as a Manufacturer’s Representative, and managing one of the largest privately held distributors in the country, to provide him a solid base of contacts with building service contractors across the United States . As a former college football player, he truly understands the importance of team work, and brings the necessary energy it takes to be successful. His enthusiastic and Team approach are an excellent fit with 4M’s culture.  Tom focuses his sales efforts in the states of Indiana , Ohio and Kentucky .

Tom is a proud graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.S. in Management.
