What Does Green Seal Certification Mean?

Aug72017

Green Seal CertifiedOne of our core values at 4M Building Solutions is promoting environmentally sustainable and earth-friendly practices in every aspect of our world-class service. This not only helps create a better world for our children and future generations, but it also helps create value for our clients through a variety of means.

When we choose which cleaning supplies to use, brands can make a variety of claims to how environmentally friendly their products are. It is hard to find apples-to-apples comparisons or truly understand their real-life impact on the environment. Luckily, in 1989, Green Seal became the first to create a certification system with baseline standards that provide peace of mind knowing that an objective, third-party source has verified the sustainability of a product.

The Green Seal mark provides a stamp of approval for many different markets, most importantly in the cleaning industry. The EPA has stated that Green Seal-certified cleaning products can reduce hazardous material consumption through their concentrated, non-toxic formulas. Because the health and safety of our clients is of utmost importance to us, this makes Green Seal-certified products a must. We appreciate the assurance of knowing that we are keeping our planet, our environment, and our clients as safe as possible, and so that makes Green Seal an essential part of what we do.

Not only does Green Seal provide certifications to products, they also monitor them regularly to ensure that they maintain these high standards of sustainability. This continuous process is a great way to verify that the certification is only given to companies of the highest integrity, because they are dedicated to long-term sustainability, just like we are.

In a time when eco-friendly practices are not only the right thing to do, but also good for the bottom line, the services provided by Green Seal are invaluable to the cleaning industry. Green cleaning is now the norm and expected in the industry and should be a standard in a company’s culture. Having trusted organizations like Green Seal ensure that our cleaning supplies meet the most rigorous standards.
